I've been using this product for 10 years. After my hair starts to grow out after a new permanent, I have to have it cut because I wear my hair short, probably 3 to 4 inches long. After one of these cuts my perm starts to lose power, then you add the Loreal Springing Curl Moose. It helps give the hair body and encourages the curl so that the hair is not flat . This makes the hair easier to keep for longer times between perms. The bad thing is that many of the stores in this area have stopped carrying the product.

Springing curls was the only product I have found & used these past few years that gave volume and texture to my fine, straight hair. Most products are designed for curly, frizzy hair, to smooth and relax. I am disappointed that L'Oreal has changed this product to fall in line with the other products. It now leaves my hair too soft, limp and adds oil to my hair that weighs it down. We don't ALL have hair that plumps up in humidity. I will not purchase this product again and must search for something else...an expensive and time-consuming process.

I have tried many similar products to define the curls for my permed hair, but I always come back to this one. I use two XL-egg-shape amount for my very thick, mid-back hair when it is wet, blow dry from underneath (never from top), then go to sleep; in the morning, the curls are perfect.

Enhances my very slight wave and controls flyaway ends.

My expectations of this product were high, but this mousse didn't reach any of them. It makes your hair shiny and it's lightweight, but it doesn't define your curls. I have thick, curly hair, and this mousse left my curls limp and undefined. I prefer products that have a stronger hold.

I apply L'Oreal Upward Spiral Curl Defining Mousse to damp hair before rolling, allowing hair to air dry (to protect my long fine color-treated hair from heat damage). At first when I remove the rollers from my dry hair, my hair is crunchy, BUT with quick combing all traces of the crunchiness immediately disappear. My formerly "independent", moderately frizzy, wavy hair is, instead, bouncy with life and silky soft. It never weighs down even my fine hair. Instead, I look like I have more hair because my style it fuller and stays that way longer than any other styling product I've tried (and I've tried a lot). I recommend L'Oreal Upward Spiral Mousse. (I have 2 extra cans on hand just to be sure I don't run out!)

I liked the older style container(white one)better. Sometimes the newer containetr stops foaming before the product is used up.It only delivers liquid. I never had that problem with the old style.

I LOVE this mousse. My hair is naturally wavy. It will not curl on its own, but with this mousse, I have great curls. Use this mousse and a diffuser, and you will love the results!
